Les Chemins de Sève Cairanne Cuvée Metamorphose 2017
70% Grenache, 30% Syrah
The terroir has a calcareous-sandy texture, with areas heavily laden with rolled pebbles. Some of the vines are 70 years old, most are 10 years old and the Roussanne is 5 years old.
Lovely evolved nose of gently stewed wild fruits and cocoa. Soft entry. Complex fruit compot with lovely acidity. Lovely tannins. Excellent length and minerality.

Producer profile
This small domaine was created in 2010 by Loic and Caroline Massart when they purchased 9 ha of vineyards in the cru of Cairanne. The vines have been grown organically from the outset and some of the vines are over 80 years old. The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand into 20 kg crates. Loic and Caroline attach great importance to respecting the environment, the soil and the vines. This same philosophy is applied in the cellar, producing very low intervention wines where patience and gentle, persevering mechanical work are paramount.
